Event Description

This unique class delves into the intersection of the polyvagal theory and kink, offering an in-depth exploration of the way our bodies and brains respond during BDSM activities.

Have you ever wondered why you experience intense emotional highs and lows during and/or after a scene? Or why certain sensations can transport you to a place of deep relaxation or to a heightened state of arousal? We'll explore how these experiences are rooted in our body’s autonomic nervous system and how we can harness them to enhance mental wellness and personal growth.

Through engaging discussions and practical exercises, we'll cover:

  1. Polyvagal Theory Basics: Understand the three states of the autonomic nervous system and their relevance to kink.
  2. Kink and Polyvagal theory: Learn about what is happening in your brain and body during top-drop, sub-drop, top-high, sub-space, hyperarousal, and overwhelm.
  3. Strategies: Learn to use polyvagal theory and kink to support mental health, wellness, and growth.

Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to the world of kink, this class will equip you with knowledge about the body’s reactions to kink. Join us for a transformative exploration of the science behind the scenes, and discover how to harness the power of your body's natural responses for a healthier, more fulfilling life.
